Redesign

E3 is a well-established trade event in the video game industry where publishers and developers unveil their upcoming projects. It offers an immersive experience for gamers with hands-on access to the latest hardware, in-person appearances, merchandise, and tournaments with prize pools.

Message
youthful, friendly, and revolutionizing 2000's  

Hierarchy
The current hierarchy is working with the red E as the first thing you read moving on to the yellow 3.

Color
Gaming is bright, contrasting, and loud.
The desaturated ketchup red and mustard, yellow colors are not successful.


Shape & Form
The cutout curvature of the E ties the two characters together. The upper neck of the 3 adds awkward tension.

Mood Board

I planned to address shape, color, form, and message found in the current identity system. By addressing these areas, I wanted to able to communicate a brand that is established, innovative, and sportive.

A monochromatic + gradient brand mark for flexibility on different backgrounds. The gradient helps the reader move from left to right while also pointing back to the original 2 tone logo.

Merchandise

Event-specific jerseys of popular esports players available for personal wear
Opportunity to take home the experience through a branded controller.
Customized guest badging featuring characters for a unique and personalized experience for attendees.
